WyTECC

With a generous grant from United Way of Sweetwater County and Sweetwater BOCES, six pre-schools in Sweetwater County will have technology and training for the upcoming school year.  The following six pre-schools will have iPod touches and Bee-Bots in their programs:

• Kid & Co. (Green River)
• Headstart (Rock Springs)
• Holy Spirit Catholic Community Preschool (Rock Springs)
• Green River Co-op (Green River)
• WWCC Children's Center (Rock Springs)
• Sweetwater Child Development Center (Rock Springs)

Preschools were selected by those willing to come to the WyTEC conference in March 2012 and willing to participate in various professional development opportunities as well as participate in action research.

The purpose behind the PreK Bootcamp is to assist children in learning technology skills before they enter Kindergarten.   Our philosophy is to take a balanced approach and integrate technology to assist students in learning skills in other essential curricular areas such as literacy.
